School Lunches For Kamuli

School Lunches For Kamuli

About us

Since February 2015, we have been providing school lunches to St Theresa’s primary school in Kamuli, Uganda. Your donated money has been used to provide a nutritious daily meal for every pupil.  In 2015 there were 480 girls who were not able to afford lunch.  Now no one goes hungry at lunchtime.  The school role has increased And been capped to 950, with many more pupils staying longer at school and obtianing  a better education.  Last year (2018) for the first time the school performed best in the region in the end of primary school tests.

Isabirye Resty, Headmistress, said: ‘the parents were so grateful to you for mobilizing funds to feed their children’

We are now looking to make the project sustainable in the long term, providing funds to purchase land and essential items to set up a farm.  The first maize crops have been harvested and cow shed built.  In 2019 we want to buy up to ten cows and essential equipment to get the farm up and running efficiently.

None of this would have been possible without the amazing and generous help of all our supporters. Thank you!
